First Painting....(in long long long while)

This painting is interesting.....it is a self portrait of me. It is interesting in the sense that it was unexpected in its end result. First of all I have not painted anything since college so I went into it with no great expectations. It is flawed in so many ways...but I think it works the way it is. What do you think?

Well this is the first posting and it has been too long that I have waited to do this.....partly because I don't really know what to write....but here it goes............ ... ...... ..... . . . ..... . . ...it is late at night and and and and maybe I should be in bed but then again maybe not. There are things that should be done but there is always tomorrow. You can't say that too much because then all you have in the end is a bunch of yesterdays. There is something so refreshing about getting you thought down on paper or screen as is this particular case. Something about allowing thoughts to leave your mind...allowing new thoughts to enter....freeing up space. So I hope with this new found freedom that I can empty my thoughts to free up space in my very active mind for new thoughts and ideas.
